Michael Anthony Christopher Connor
"MIKE"
1/3/1936 - 25/10/2015
What can I say about Mike?
Well, he did not suffer fools gladly but he was one of the most kind-hearted & generous men I have
ever had the pleasure of knowing & he “Loved” tractors.
I first met Mike when he joined the Moruya Antique Tractor & Machinery club about 15 years ago.
He quickly got involved in our regular Tuesdays at the Mogo display shed & supplied a folding table & benches made at the Bargo workshop.
With one of our Rallies approaching he also made a Tractor balancing beam. He assisted in the restoration of the historic 1904 York engine & made many trollies for the engines we restored at Mogo.
In recognition of his activities Mike was awarded the Club Member of the Year shield in 2005.
Apart from what he did for Mogo, Mike also made many items for a great number of club members including a trolley & Trek box for myself.
Mike loved his Tractors & he got great satisfaction in fostering the hobby with his Grandson, Cameron.
Even earlier this year whilst he was still receiving chemo treatment he traveled to Cootamundra with Tim & Cameron to attend their Rally & Tractor Pull
Mike & Maureen traveled to many parts of NSW to attend Tractor Treks & they participated in every National Tractor Trek held since their inception on his favourite David Brown tractor.
Mike was a great supporter of all our Club events & also attended many shows & rallies in the Hunter Valley & Oberon areas.
Mike, I know you will be greatly missed by our members but you will never be forgotten for the wonderful contributions you made to our Association.

Mike had a great love of the Australian Bush, which included our indigenous folk and the great Australian "country" way of life.
