Following the devastating losses on the 31st of December 2019 to our engines, tractors, tools and archives housed in the Old Gold Rush Colony, Mogo, several opportunities arose for our Club to seek possible financial assistance.
Our Treasurer, Kathy Shields took on the challenge of applying for several Grants
on behalf of the Club in 2020
Successful grant applications:
"Service NSW Recovery Grant"
"Service NSW Bush Fire Support Grants"
"Commonwealth Bank"
Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal
"FRRR" - News Corp Bushfire Fund
"It is still a long, tough road ahead, but we have documented plans in place and a strong reserve to rebuild MATAMA to it's former glory. The Grant funds are sincerely appreciated and will certainly go a long way towards achieving that aim." said Kathy
2023
Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal
"FRRR" - Strengthening Rural Communities program
The outcome of our application for the Mogo Artisans Project project was successful. The Project: -Rebuild the Mogo museum and workshop destroyed by the 2019 bushfires, replenish lost equipment, and incorporate a food bank and pantry, creating a community and visitor space. Acknowledging the support of FRRR
Thanks for your tireless efforts Kathy
