JOHN Alexander KELLY
13/1/1933 - 5/6/2019
John & Marisha Kelly were long time members of MATAMA,
but for Johns health reasons left the club a few years back.
Even though John had suffered a stroke many years ago, he still managed to enjoy a good quality of life.
He tinkered with stationary engines, tractors, motorcycles and loved his VC Chrysler Valiant, "Victoria".
His massive, well equipped workshop was the envy of many.
He was an accomplished jeweller, photographer, an expert on Safe's, taught himself to paint left handed and had been a motor racer in his earlier years. He raced at such circuits as Catalina, Warwick Farm, Bathurst, Oran Park and mixed with such well known names as Beechey, Geoghegan, Brabham and even Moss.
A big "Goons"fan, he was widely travelled and could hold a conversation on just about any topic.
He was a good and generous friend and I, for one, shall miss him.
A great Character and a true Gentleman.
